Is it possible to convert custom taxonomy categories into a filter?

I have a 3 level product category list (Large > normal > detailed ). The categories are made with custom taxonomies. When the products are imported into the website (importer plugin) they are assigned to a certain category and displayed on the website.
Is it possible to leave the “Large” and “normal” as categories and make the “detailed” category into a filter which differs for each “normal” category?
