For a number of reasons I wish to create my podcast RSS feed using an alternative method. Is it possible to stop the Powerpress plugin from creating the feed? I did read somewhere that you can insert the following define(‘POWERPRESS_NO_PODCAST_FEED’, true); in your wp-config.php file. It prevents the podcast episodes from appearing but it still allows the Apple iTunes specific stuff to appear.

The easiest solution would be to redirect the PowerPress feed URL to the other feed you’re creating. Assuming you’re using the default PowerPress feed, here’s how:
1.) Log in to your? WordPress site?
2.) Go to PowerPress >> Settings >> Feeds tab >> Feed Settings
3.) Copy/paste the other podcast RSS feed? URL into the PodcastMirror Feed URL field
4.) Click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page
5.) Clear any site caches, if applicable

That’ll redirect the podcast RSS feed to your other feed, so even if someone tries to load the PowerPress feed URL, they’ll just be taken to the other feed URL instead.

I’m not sure that I explained myself very well. I dont want the Powerpress rss feed at all although I do want other features of the plugin. I have another way of creating the feed.

If you redirect the PowerPress feed URL as directed in the previous message, you won’t have a public podcast RSS feed generated by PowerPress. The plugin is designed to generate a podcast RSS feed; that’s its primary function.
