• Hello,

I’ve been checking my site; https://www.wesleydysart.com/blog with validator.w3.org

I’m finding lots of errors. I’ve been able to find some of them, but others I can find when I view the source code, but I cannot locate the code inside WordPress. I set firefox the “find” the code and then start clicking on everything in editor and in the widget panel. I still can’t find it. There’s some code in between two text widgets and there doesn’t seem to be a way to get at it.

Is there a way to edit the entire source code of your site? I’m looking for a HTML button that just shows me the whole page so I can remove the offending code and fix these errors.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • Is it possible to edit the entire site as HTML?

No. WordPress uses PHP, and themes typically consist of multiple PHP files. Check your theme’s sidebar.php for the code.

The offending code isn’t there. It’s appearing in between two text widgets. I can’t find the code in the sidebar.php or in the text widgets (both containing HTML).

I’m thinking this is possible an issue with the template I’m using. So there’s no way to view all the code at once like with “view source”?

Is there a plugin maybe that could scan all my php files and identify which one has the code in it? I’ve been through all the files in the editor and none of them match the code.

thanks for the info though, I was not aware that even though you use HTML in WordPress it was superseded by the PHP.

Are you talking about the BR tag? Check in the code that you pasted in the clearspring.com text widget.
