Is it possible to Exclude Page by Menu Order?

  • Hi guys,

    This is the 1st time I am posting on the WP Forums. I have been reading the Codex for the past 2 months now and I have to say … I’M IN LOVE WITH WP :D. Developing a WP-Theme is just tremendous fun! I eventually want to jump into Plug-In Development, but aside to this… I have a qustion.

    As you might have read in the title, I want to know if there is any way to exclude a page by Menu Order, I have built a template of which I want to reserve the 1st 10 “Menu Slots”, untill I discovered it is not posible with the “exclude” paramere, because you have to pass an Post ID to that.

    So, is there any workaround to exclude pages by menu order?

    P.S.
    If I posted in the wrong area I am very sorry, as I said I am new to all this WP stuff :P.

    Welcome to WP, its fun here ??

    I do not know of any way in the core to edit the menu lists. However, I use Exclude Pages to give me the ability to not list in any navigation for a specific page.

    I believe this contributes to your need.

    Sorry for the late reply, my internet got ownd. So I had to wait till it was fixe, and now I am back alive :)…

    Anyway that is indeed a VERY useful plug-in, although I have used some other workaround to get what I wanted done.

    I just used the core ability to exclude the pages by the usual ID’s…

    I got where I wanted to go, but this way I cannot really reserve anything so if anyone wants to do that… use the plug-in, because in that way the plug-in is indeed better.
