Is it possible to have description for a post?

Option 1: Consider using the_excerpt in your archive.php (see Template_Hierarchy) instead of the_content. Then put your description in the “Optional Excerpt” field when editing/creating the Post.

Option 2: Look into Using_Custom_Fields and a bit of theme editing.
