    hello.

Is there a way to prevent the entry-meta item under the post title from appearing in search engine`s snippets?

I write a meta description for every post, but Bing and some search engines still show a snippet of the post at the top of the content.

Since .entry-meta is always located at the top of the post, unnecessary meta information will showing in snippet.

If i disabling meta function, might solve this problem but is there another way?

    thank you.

    Hello @cheonmu

Search engines actually crawl the page and the information that’s on them, so as long as the meta elements are present on the page, they may be presented on search engine pages. This is a normal part of how the software works and is valid for any other theme out there.

Unfortunately, the only method of not crawling these information layers is to disable them.

    Hope this clears things up!

    Thanks.
