Is it possible to migrate EXTERNAL image links from one server to another?

    Hello,

    All the images on my blog have been hosted in SERVER_1 with a propietary internal URL similar to https://server_1/09870987/random_digits/file_1.jpg

    I’m now thinking about moving all those images that are merely links into all posts to a SERVER_2, so that the only thing that would be common would be the file name… and I guess the URL would be something like https://server_2/some_path/file_1.jpg

    Do you know if it’s somehow possible to migrate all those external links to the images from SERVER_1 to SERVER_2?

    PS: When I say external, I mean that none of the images are in wordpress itself… they’re on a different external host

  • If you mean in that way, I think yes, as long as you used a plugins for your links of your images or <?=site_url(); ?>/image_url/
