Is it possible to run multiple sports on one site?

Thanks for your question. You are correct, SportsPress requires one sport to be selected per site.

However, the plugin has been tested for multisite, so you could easily create separate sites within one install by creating a network. See: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Create_A_Network

Thanks for the update. So in setting up a network I would activate the plugin per site then set it up for its sport, not by the network activation method?

This would mean accessing each subdomain and managing that sport through that admin? Is there any way of sharing content across the network ie. have one page showing the latest results from each sport?

Can I use the system without adding players as the players have been organised by the school and all we need to do is manage the comp and scores?

Is there a way to set manual scoring systems or a way to add other sports other than what you have listed?

Hi Peter,

The SportsPress plugin has been developed for and tested using WordPress multisite, so it will work with the standard network activation. You could activate the plugin for the entire network via My Sites > Network Admin > Plugins.

Each sport would be managed via its own dashboard, but by using multisite you could access all of it via one login. Currently, each site would only display its own data, but we’re working on a way to display widgets from other sites within a network as a pro feature to be released later this month.

Players are optional and do not need to be added. Each event has a “Total” performance section where you can enter each team’s performance as a whole rather than for individual players.

To add your own scoring system, please select “Custom” from the “Sport” dropdown in SportsPress > Settings > General Options. This will clear all equations, which you can then add manually via the “Configure” tab.
