Is it possible to save a blog in a human readable format?

I know that we can create a back-up of our blog, but is there any way to save it in a way that is readable to a human? I don’t feel comfortable just having the tables and whatnot. I want something that I can see in case I should ever have to paste in each old blog post myself.
