I am not seeing an easy way to update a profile that already exists.

What happens is I will set up a profile and assign the profile to many pages. Then if a mistake is made or I want to change something about that profile, I have to either override the profile on each individual page or create a new profile that I have to manually assign to each page I need changed.

Is it possible to modify the contents of an existing profile and have the profile affect all pages it is assigned to?

    Thank you.

Short answer is yes, if I understand the question correctly.

If you select a page/post from the “use profiles from…” menu then any settings in the child profiles from the page/post selected will be applied.

Not sure I understand your reply.

Let me try to be more clear.

I have a page that says “This Form” and the page title is “This is a page”. “This is a page”, I assume is the parent profile as it shows up in the “Use Profiles From” drop down for all other posts.

I have 25 pages that are assigned to the “This is a page” profile.

If I made a mistake on the “This is a page” profile and wanted to change it for “This is a page” and all 25 other profiles I assigned it to, how do I do this?

For background, I tried to change the settings in the “This is a page” page and update it, but it is not affecting any of the other 25 pages. I seems to only affect the parent page, not child pages.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Unfortunately, the blog I am utilizing is private and I cannot provide access to it.

    Thank you!

The changes to “This is a page” should be automatically applied to the other 25.

Are you using a performance cache? If so, clear the cache and see if the changes appear. Also clear your browser cache as that may be rendering a cached page.

In the meantime I will try to duplicate the behavior on our dev sites to see if it is, in fact, an issue with the plugin.

Also, “parent profile” refers to the main widget under Appearance > Widgets. “child profile” refers to the individual profiles on each page/post.
