After product published, there are still lots of image with the url of ae01.alicdn.com in wp_postmeta and wp_posts, and please check the screenshot for detailes:

    https://prnt.sc/rVfIm7GJkKPF

    wp_posts:

    https://prnt.sc/RLeoxHuH_rgH

    wp_postmeta:

    https://prnt.sc/ZIJ1YLfIOAY4

when search these images in wordpress media library, these images does not exist actually.

Would you please let us know why these URLs of images are still stored? is it save to replace the url of ae01.alicdn.com with others if the products were already published?

    Thanks

    Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Please see my images: https://nimb.ws/FKBG8f and https://nimb.ws/NQgo4i

As you can see, on our site, product before and after does not have that image URL.

Can you check again if the plugin you’re using is ours?

    Best regards.

Yes, I am quite sure we are using this plugin.

Please check the image in your post at https://nimb.ws/NQgo4i

    and there is the url:

    https://prnt.sc/ZuwwmagaXaNo

After the product are published, Is it safe if replace the urls with some others or replace it with blank, if there are those urls?

If you do not know, please consult your developer, and feed back to us.

    Great thanks.

Yes, we’ve discussed. Actually, it’s not possible. We need it to show on Imported page and for synchronizing process in the pro version. Also, the quantity of meta for these posts are not too many. I think it’s not a big problem

Standard meta of a WooCommerce product is about 20: https://nimb.ws/zDtB9y

    While we only have 12

    Thanks for reply.

We only care about the url of images, but not any other meta.

1# So, after the product was published, that URL is only used to show the product featured image on the imported page?

    2# Any other usage please?

3# If no, is it possible to show the local product featured images but not that CDN urls?

4# Please note that the URLs of ae01.alicdn.com are not only in wp_meta, but also in wp_post of the database, what is the usage please after the products were already published, and the images are stored on the local server? is it safe to replace these urls with blank?

    Thanks in advance.

If you’ve imported and select to download image, the URL on server will be used, the link above is no longer related.

Have you selected this option: https://nimb.ws/1NW4SU

    Thread Starter alexliii

    (@alexliii)

Yes, i did check that option and download image in description.

But, for most of products, we redesigned the images, then upload from our local computer to server, and never simply use the original images.

Is there any potential issue if I replace those urls?

In that case, there should be no problem.

    Thanks for clarify.

We are trying to find the reason why the database is quite large, to be exactly, huge:)

I did a careful check in PHPMyAdmin:

    https://prnt.sc/8m37DHopykXv

in the wp_post, in wp_postmeta, it saved all of imported products, and if export the post_content, it show:

    https://prnt.sc/Qx5ZKMR6kMeo

It is original product data when imported the first time, and it was kept stored even after published on site, am I right?

That is the reason why our database is huge.

If yes, please take this a strong feature request:

1# Those data can be stored temporarily before being published on-site, and please try to remove those original data once the product was published.

2# I believe most of the data is useless once the product was published, and can keep only limited data like ID, guid, a feature image.

We are grateful for your support and great plugin.

Thanks and have a nice day.

    Hi,

Thank you for kindly waiting. Our team has discussed and, I’m sorry to say it’s not possible for us to remove data as you need. It’s hard to explain, in short, we need it for problems when upgrading plugin.

In this case, you can run SQL to remove the original data yourself.
