Is it safe to use it?

    Hey there Stefano!
    I’m an administrator of a publishing house web site. My boss told me that we should have a newsletter service for our subscribers. After doing a small research I found this plugin, which I consider really attractive. Then I told my web developer about this plugin and his reply was that he considers that, because of being a plugin from wordpress, it could be unsafe and unreliable, that maybe this plugin could borrow our users information and later use it to bomb those mail accounts with spam.
    I don’t know if it is an excuse to avoid working on this or if it could be true. I really think that this plugin is indeed really safe because of the large amounts of 5-stars reviews, But I need a “technical” reply to deter his excuses.

    I cannot answer since I’m the author, but it used by many blogs… having a blog with or without plugins or custom made code always expose you to risk of hacking. If you don’t want to add a plugin, just signup for an email marketing service and integrate in the blog only their forms.
