    hi there!
    i designed a website without cookies and logins, to keep things simple;
    i am still interested, of course, in how well the site is visited;
    if i start using koko would that have any consequence on:
    a. use of cookies (i read somewhere that you could use koko without cookes)
    b. privacy statement: do i have to explain in my privacy statement that i am using koko to measure the use of the site?

    Hi Cezi,

    You can turn off cookies in the plugin settings.
    I can’t give you any legal advice regarding your privacy statement. What I can tell you is that Koko Analytics doesn’t keep any identifiable data about your visitors, it only tracks anonymized data on your site and doesn’t send it to anywhere else/keeps it within your site. In fact, there would be more ‘private’ information about your visitors in your server logs (that certainly also exist somewhere on your hosting server) than in koko.

    Hope that helps. If you have any questions, please let me know!
