Is language_attributes link missing on the Function Reference page?
-
Dear All –
I tried looking up information about a WP function for the first time today, by going to the Function Reference page and doing a text search on the function name: “language_attributes”.
It didn’t show up.
A page does exist for it, here, but I can’t seem to get to it from the main Function Reference page.
Is this intended behavior? Caveat – I’m a terrible scanner. It could be there in my face and I missed it. Thanks in advance,
– Louis
PS I often get “Why’d you do it that way? Do it this way instead” and “you answered your own question, so what’s the deal?” responses to my posts, so I’ll add this.
As to why I did it that way, and not a direct Google search of “WP language_attributes” – I *like* doing text searches on reference pages. It’s like flipping through a dictionary. I never know what other jewel I might stumble upon while searching for what I originally intended. For example, I switched it up a bit, and found:
- “language” returns one function hit – mu_dropdown_languages
- “attribute” returns one function hit – attribute_escape
As to why I’m still concerned – I’m seeing language_attributes as a “first order of business” on many pages in the <html> tag. It’s the first function I see in the tutorial I’m following. Why hide this function from view, if it is a staple?
