Is multi site install right for me?

    I have one hosting account with Go Daddy, but on that account, I am hosting two WordPress websites, each with their own domain:

    LynnsideEdition.com
    KarinsCanines.com

    LynnsideEdition is in the root directory. KarinsCanines is in a subdirectory with its own install of WordPress. So what shows up in the address bar is:

    https://lynnsideedition.com/
    https://lynnsideedition.com/karinscanines/

    I would like to make it so that when users type KarinsCanines.com into the address bar, they are directed to the site, but the file path, including the other site’s name, does not appear in the url.

    Is multisite the way to go or would it be overkill? Is it the only way to achieve my goal?
