• Hi,

Im a WP newby and have a question about managing/sharing content on a WP Multisite network. Let say I want to manage a network of 4 -5 sites with completely different domains and unique content and pages. There will be a few pages, posts, categories I may want to display on all the sites, but to maintain each sites unique identity (and not get penalized for duplicate content or mirror site) I also want the ability not to share globally. In other words, If I have or create a unique page, article, etc for one site is there a feature/function on WP multi-site that will prevent it from being displayed globally on all sites? Or will this require some type of customization?

    Thanks in advance…

  • I’m not exactly sure what you’re asking. The content on each blog in a multisite is unique to that specific blog, so no it won’t show up multiple times throught your multisite.

Thanks Cyndy…A Friend of mine who uses multisite told me that whenever he creates a new pages or post on 1 site in the the network it automatically displays globally on other sites. I dont want that. I want unique pages and content for each site…

Your friend is using a plugin ?? You certainly can do that, but I wouldn’t ?? Duplicating posts is bad for your SEO.

    You’re fine ??
