I have my business site on godaddy.com that is in HTML but does have a blog on it so I have WP installed. I would like to set up a testing environment for my clients that want their sites in WP. I don’t want to BUY another domaing to do this. I want to set up a folder called TEST that would house another instance of WP for testing purposes only. I upload the site to test it live and have my clients view it to see the progress and request changes if necessary. Would I use the multisite feature to accomplish this? If so, how do I go about implementing this on my current site? Thanks.

I wouldn’t, only because unless you’re going to host their site, you will eventually have to move from your host to theirs, and exporting a site from Multisite doesn’t bring along the theme settings and site options.

I have just added a new database and instance of WP to my business site for testng purposes only. Didn’t have to use multisite.
