• So I did something funky in my cpanel a while back and my blog disappeared. I still dont know what I did but I had it restored. ever since then, it hasn’t been the same.

when im writing a blog post in visual mode and i hit the enter button to go to the next line, nothing happens but when i click on the text tab, i see a bunch of line spacing. it’s driving me crazy.

    can anyone help?

    – Try switching to the unedited default, core-bundled Theme (such as Twenty Twelve, Twenty Thirteen or Twenty Fourteen) for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue.

    Hi,
I am experiencing similar trouble except I operate from text mode and when I try to switch to visual mode it does not work. Another person on our team logged into the same site and operates in visual mode and when she does she experiences the same thing as described above and isn’t able to post anything.

    I have trouble shooted by:
    deactivating all plugins
    switching back to default theme.

None of these solutions have solved the problem. I was thinking it was possibly a plugin, but I’ve ruled that out. The only other thing we did recently was make the site live. The development site was sitting in a folder in the root directory. When we were ready to go live we moved the files out to the main root directory and updated the database.. Not sure if this could have affected it??

    Thanks!

did this work for you? i mean when you moved the files out of the root directory and updated your database?

The files were moved before the problem started. I’m not sure if this is what could have caused the problem?? I’m stuck on what else to try…

Hey missdeeneal. Hope you figured out your problem. WordPress just released version 3.8.3. I updated my site and this resolved the issue. Hope it fixes your problem as well!
