Is my side bar too busy?

    is my sidebar too busy? I really like this theme but would love to change the sunflower image to my logo and add another column.. I’m concerned that might take me Way too much time….

    So.. is my sidebar too busy?

  • Your sidebar doesn’t look too busy to me, It does have some display problems with the “What I’m Reading” section in Firefox.

    Yup. Can’t see the “What I’m Reading” doodad. Did like the theme.

    HRRRM…… I didn’t think about FireFox… should probably download it and see if I can fix the problem…
    it’s images and links to my online associates shop.. d o you not see anything there?

    Using white links on the light blue background on your sidebar is a little hard to read, you should probably consider a different link color.

    All around I think it looks great. The sidebar is not a busy as some others I have seen. But the links in the reading section was quirky. Also the alignment to me seemed a little off in some area’s. I like the white links/rollovers. Nice design.

    The problem with the “What I’m Reading” area has been mentioned. I’m also seeing it in Netscape 7.2.

    In addition, your blog is not very readable at even a magnification of 120%. I usually use the Netscape 7.2 View/Text Zoom feature, set to 135%. So unless I were highly motivated to read your blog in tiny print, I would pass it up.

    The style and colors are attractive and engaging.

    Dunno what you’re talking about, the text size is plenty large here…

    Anyway, still getting the “What I’m Reading” issue, but besides that, it looks fine to me. I would suggest making it valid code though:

    Well, since most of those errors are things that I either didn’t put in the code (came with the theme, I think!?) or are things that I’m not sure how to fix, I’ll have to take a course on HTML.

    yep, unfortunately there are still display problems with that section in FF.
