hello under what cincustance i need to do the steps

    Step 2: Allow Multisite
To enable the Network Setup menu item, you must first define multisite in the wp-config.php file.

Open up wp-config.php and add this line above where it says /* That’s all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */. If it doesn’t say that anywhere, then add the line somewhere above the first line that begins with require or include:

    define(‘WP_ALLOW_MULTISITE’, true);

is this is only for multisite or also for wordpress MU.

WordPress MU no longer exists. It is now Multisite.

So … if you want a network, you MUST do that.

You have to tell us WHAT the error is if you expect any help.

If you have no content, delete the database and files.

Should I even bother with your other post – https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/multisite-which-one-i-install – since you haven’t got it installed, there’s no point in talking about where Multisite stores plugins.

If you don’t know what you’re doing, and the directions on the ‘Create a network page’ were too complicated/didn’t work, you may not have the skills for running a multisite just yet.

How long have you been using WP for?

    Thread Starter mokito

    (@mokito)

for a while now. but the multisite is king of complicate to me. i dont know why.
maybe because im behind on this project and i dont focus on the facts…

    where should i start firts.

i read that i need to create the site and then install the multisite… the site wizard has alot of glitches many people complaining i dont know if i should use that one. i would like my members to subscribe for free and get a site and put the info only on contact box and domain name and hats it not to complicated for them. they dont know what is html so….. whats the best way to create something like this…. they dont need to see plugin or nothing.

    thanks for your help again

    What site wizard?

The steps to install MultiSite are

    1) Install WP.
    2) Add a line to your wp-config
    3) Add MORE lines (as prompted) to your wp-config
    4) Edit your .htaccess
    5) Multisite!
