Is Polylang GPDR compliant?

    Dear Frédéric,
    I could not find an clear answer. Does Polylang comply to GDPR?
    Does the plugin collect any user information or any other information from the website it is active on?

    Hi,

    All plugins in this plugin directory have to follow guidelines. Inside, you’ll find a rule requesting that plugins don’t collect any data without prior consent. As Polylang doesn’t ask you to collect your data, that means that nothing is collected by the plugin. This rule exists for many years. So Polylang has never collected anything.

    I stick the topic in case the question rises again in the coming weeks or months.

    I just added an article in the Polylang FAQ about the GDPR. It adds some precision about translations of the user biographical info which are included when exporting personal data in WP 4.9.6. See https://polylang.pro/doc/is-polylang-gdpr-compliant/

    Hi! Clear what you told. But I want to add info to my privacy policy about all the cookies I use. I guess Polylang uses cookies to save the last used language choice. If so, how long is it retained?
