• hi:

I have migrated from the plugin “Events Manager” this plugin create a page called “events” where all events were shown, with a second plugin could restrict access to the page based on user role (User Access Manager for example). I see that “Events Organiser” create an events page but this page can not be edited so there is no possibility to use WordPress SEO plugin or User Access Manager and other plugins that apply to pages is there a way to fix this?

    Thxs!

    Regards!

    Hi Alfredo,

Event Organise doesn’t create a ‘page’ (as in the post type) for events, but instead WordPress automatically produces one (in the same way it produces post archive pages).

I’m not sure what you’d like a SEO plug-in to do on that page as the content is essentially inherited from the events themselves. I’ve not had any experience of either those plug-ins you’ve mentioned, but the SEO plug-in probably handles post type archive pages automatically . As for UAM this probably (or at least should) have options for disabling access to post types (e.g. events), or even the ability to specify this on an event-by-event basis. In this case, events the user does not permission to see shouldn’t appear in the event archive.

However, if you still want a set-up similar to Event Manager (using short-codes), you can use [eo_events] in a page. (See this page). By default it displays a list, and you can edit what appears via the user of placeholder tags. For completely control of its output you can create an appropriate template in your theme.
