Is smtp plugin required?

    I have your plugin on my site and I would like to ask a question. Is send smtp plugin required to send e-mails from your platform to users who had donated to me?

    Glad you reached out.

    It’s not required if your server already have a mail service on it. However, it’s a good policy to use a SMTP service.

    Hello again, I made a mistake. I wanted to ask for SendWP and not for Send SMTP.


    So is this plugin necessary to send emails to donors?

    Hey tsitsix, Im replying instead of the devs.

    SMTP plugin is not required for WP Give to function.
    But SMTP plugin might be required depending on your hosting situation, for the site to send any emails out, Give or any other.
    These are separate things and not related.

    If your site does not send emails out without SMTP plugins, it is fully dependent on your hosting situation and site configuration.
