    Hi
First of all thanks for the great and awesome plugin; I had been looking for something like that for a long time.
I finally decided on using it, but I have a huge concern
will the plugin be able to handle a large site?
I am talking about 1000 Tables that has approximately has 20~25 rows with 7 columns
will the plugin be able to handle such data?

    Hi,

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

It might not be ideal, but it should work fine. All tables are stored separately, so that’s ok. If you later find that it does not scale, you could switch to a different solution as you can always export the data to e.g. the CSV format.

    Tobias

Hmmm, I am sorry to ask you this but do you know of another solution?

If not, what kind of problems do you think it might happen?

And is there is a way to make categories for tables? Auto backup as well?
Option to import excel? Or export to it?

And as always Thanks for the best support ever.

    Hi,

no, sorry, I don’t know a direct alternative solution. Depending on what data you are showing, a direct mySQL database solution might be what you need.

One thing that might be a bit slower is the “All tables” screen, but that might not even be measurable. The individual loading of tables should not be affected.

Categories for tables are not yet possible, except maybe for styling, where you could work with “Extra CSS classes”.
Auto-backups to files (whenever a table is edited) is possible using a TablePress Extension (if auto-backups of the database are not sufficient). Excel files can be imported (both .xls .xlsx), but only the data, no formatting or styling. Exporting to Excel is that mentioned exporting to CSV.

    Tobias

Pardon me but I have more questions
What is the name of the auto backup extension of TablePress?

And I have some more but I will leave it to another thread
Five stars is not even worth your effort
    Thank you deeply.

    Hi,

the Auto Backup Extension is not yet available on the TablePress website, but only on request via email (the address is in the main plugin file “tablepress.php”).
