    Hi everyone,

I need a theme that can support the Eventbrite API plugin. The Eventbrite API plugin’s FAQ states that ‘Assuming your theme is based on Underscores, most of the work is already done for you.’

So, is the Argent theme based on Underscores?

If not, how feasible is it to make the Argent compatible with the Eventbrite API?

    Thank you!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @geniemob!

I can confirm that the Argent theme is based on Underscores. ?? You can confirm this from the credits given at the top of the theme’s style.css file.

Hope that information helps you out.

    Thank you so much Siobhan!

You mean because the author is Automattic it implies that the theme uses Underscore?

Automattic themes do tend to be based on Underscores but, in addition to that, you’ll find the following confirmation at the top of the theme’s style.css file:

Argent is based on Underscores https://underscores.me/, (C) 2012-2016 Automattic, Inc.

It’s just that I searched the style.css file for ‘Underscores’ and ‘underscores’ and the search found nothing. The line you mention does not appear in the style.CSS file that was downloaded with the theme when I downloaded it two days ago.

Hi again! Apologies for the confusion here: Upon further inspection I can see that the reference to Underscores is only found in the version of the theme we have available on WordPress.com. Although the reference doesn’t exist in the theme files that you have, I can confirm that the theme is based on Underscores.
