Is the poster issue fixed in v1.23.1?

@mdotk Thanks for opening a topic with us. The issue still persists and we are continuing our investigation on this. As soon as we have any further updates we will let you know.

The issue persist with i update the story in new window (and i forget to set the poster image), and i need to set again the poster to image show again in /web-stories/ archive page.

We’re still looking into it and will probably release another version in the next 24 hours or so.

@mdotk we have a potential fix that we are looking to release soon but it would be great if you could first test this yourself and let us know if the issue is cleared with this.

@rodrigoflausino We believe to have fixed the issue. Could you try installing this current development version of the plugin to see if this fixes the poster image issue?

We plan on releasing a new release shortly with this fix if it works as intended.

The version its 1.23.0-alpha.0 ? I tried to install, but the WordPress shows this: “You are submitting an old version of an installed plugin”.

There’s a temporary workaround:

1. Add the thumbnail as usual: it creates the cropped version
2. Get the URL of the cropped image
3. Select “Link to a file”
4. Paste the URl of the file created => this assigns the right poster, but it doesn’t assign the right thumbnail for the archive
5. Change the poster to Upload a File and select the one created in step 1
=> You have both the right poster and the right thumbnail

Hi! I tested the developer version and i believe the problem its fixed. I don’s see the problem again.

But need more people to test too.
