Is ther a semi-easy way to make gallerys link to post not pages?

Hi all,

After creating a gallery and uploading images, in the gallery settings, I can create a page for each gallery and link that gallery to that page…

…so, what I want to do is make that process create a post instead and link the gallery to that!

Is that possible without heavy changes in the plugin code?

One guess (or wish!) of mine would be that I pretty easy could change that in the SQL query that that function runs…if now that is what happening…

…my php and sql knowledge isn’t THAT great! ??

Any advice and pointers in the right direction would be much appreciated!
