Is there a custom hook so that I can filter rows using a function?

We use the groups plugin, and would like to filter table content by capabilities. For other plugins we’ve generally found there is a hook for this type of thing.

I notice on the table press site that there is mention of hooks, but I couldn’t find any code examples.

Is there a hook we can use, and if so, an example please?
