Is there a function that does before_widget & after_widget for wp-list_pages?

Is there a function that someone has written before that you know of that is like there is in functions.php

register_sidebar(array(
  'before_title' => '',
  'after_title' => '',
    'before_widget' => '',
  'after_widget' => '',

but for wp_list_pages?

as I want to accomplish this:

wp_list_pages – put span tags within the a href tags…
(example is on https://www.dynamicdrive.com/style/csslibrary/item/dd-color-tabs/)
