  • Hi,

In the past, we have had excellent experience using the Mailchimp plugin .

However, here you will need to create a Mailchimp account and all the database of user’s will reside with Mailchimp. IMHO that is completely alright as they are a well reputed organisation. Data will be safe and secure.

Is there any specific reason why you need the data to be on your website only?

Or you could also try this one:

I haven’t tried it yet but it looks like it has most of the features you are looking for.

appreciate your help very much @tsure

about your question why i need the database :

i only want the database of the emails in case something happened to the plugin.
so if the plugin suddenly closed,or some one hacked it,or they decided not to make the service free but rather they made too expensive(pay or lose you mails),then i will have a backup to use.

so are my fears right or not ? i am just new on websites field.

    thanks

@abdorefky Yes your fears are valid and it is good that you are thinking about security earlier. However, Mailchimp is a reliable company and I am sure you can extract all your contact emails on a regular basis via exporting to excel. Also, even if something were happen to the Mailchimp plugin, the contact details are store on the Mailchimp server and hence would not be affected.

    @tsure

that was impressive plugin and great service.

if you may i have just one more questions.

i don’t know what is the update trigger, what if i don’t want every new post to be sent.

am i going to do that from mailchimp website or the plugin.

    thanks

@abdorefky : Thank you so much for the kind words ?? I have not used triggers but after reading a little about them it appears to be a setting you may need to do from the Mailchimp website and not the plugin.

If fact I would encourage you to ask the same question by creating a new thread on the following forum:
