Is there a limit on the number of fields that can be added to a field group

    I have 52 fields in a field group. When I added the 52 field, I was no longer able to change any of the parameters for that new field. On clicking Update fields, the page refreshed, but I do not get the ‘Your Information has been updated’ info box and the parameters are not updated. In fact i can not change any of the parameters for any of the fields. If i delete one field, I am able to make changes. I can not see a limit set anywhere. Or, is it possible that there is a ‘timeout’ and with so many fields, the update doesn’t complete?

    I’ve written about this in other support requests. The problem is that web servers have a setting that limits the size of the POST request. This means that if you try to submit too much data at once, it gets rejected. You can change that limit if you want, it’s called ‘post_max_size’ in your PHP configuration…or you can organize your fields into smaller groups. I’d say the second is a better choice, it will improve the UI for everyone if the groups are smaller.

    Thanks, I have done as you suggest and organized into smaller groups. Sorry, I did search for answers, but used the wrong search terms and didn’t find anything!
