I was very excited yesterday to see an article turn up in my Mastodon phone app from a WordPress install. No commercial intermediary, no ads, no billionaires (apart from Eugen :-). Mindblown.

    I have two questions:

    • The plugin creates a feed I can follow to for each author i.e. @ian@wanakacommunityworkshop.org.nz. Is there also a local timeline feed for the instance I can follow to get all Posts from this server i.e. @news@wanakacommunityworkshop.org.nz or something?
    • I’d like to help write the explanation about what the Plugin is and isn’t and how people might use it. How best to do that?

Many thanks for all your work.

    Hey @staple

there is currently no local timeline, but it is the most requested feature so far, so it is on top of my list. whats complicated with that feature is to define the author/actor correctly.

It would be awesome if you could help with explanation and other texts. Are you familar with GitHub https://github.com/pfefferle/wordpress-activitypub ? I would recommend that, if you would love to add/change texts. If Pull Requests are too complicated for you, feel free to file issues for changes.
