• Dear All,

I’ve search Google and got overwhelmed with old results or results that involved hacking of php or maybe the results didn’t suit my names, so I’m turning here for help, guidance and advice.

I am using the Mirror Theme, with a menu system across the top on a site I’ve had running for a couple of years, not much updating of it, there wasn’t really a need, it’s a personal site, no monetary value, etc.

But, now, I’ve decided to get myself into a project and use my website for updates, and I’ve installed and have Postie running, so I can email myself the content, the pictures, etc and it will dump it to the front page.

What I’d like to be able to do, is an easy way of converting my current setup, which has a menu across the top, and the sub menus take you to additional pages, specifically talking about that menu.

I’d like to change it, so if I go to a menu, for say, programming, the programming page opens, but only displays everything that is categorized under programming, or I go to the graphics menu (opens the graphics page) it will only display everything that is categorized under graphics.

That way, I can auto upload a page, and after a certain duration, go into my wordpress site and change the category of one of the auto-posts and it will then disappear from the front page and still be there, but only if the menu/page is chosen by the user.

I hope this makes sense to someone. I’ve tried a few plugins, but they are either not compatible with my version, really old, or, for some reason, don’t appear to work how I would like it.

I’m happy to use a ‘cheap hack’ providing it’s not THAT difficult and doesn’t give me any chance of breaking my site.

    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Paul.
