Is there a pretty lightbox for nextGen

You might want to try Foobox. You have to pay for it, but I think they have a good design. ??

@nspace1999 – Did you look at the various Lightbox effects already included with the plugin? If there is something prettier you choose to use we would be interested in know what it is and how it worked out for you as well. Thanks!

I like jQuery Colorbox with NextGEN Gallery 1.9.13, but it doesn’t work with ngg 2.0.14. Wish it did because I like it a bit better than the ones that come with ngg.
jQuery Colorbox is similar to ngg Fancybox, but it cycles back to the beginning; under the photo it has arrows, # of ## images, caption, start slideshow, and X to close; has rounded corners; and rests on a very dark background.

I use jQuery Colorbox along NGG’s Pro Lightbox, and it works fine at least with NGG 2.0.14.

Main reason for using both is the fact that Pro Lightobox does not display images inserted into posts/pages using “insert media” function of WP. Some day soon NGG Pro Lightbox hopefully will also work with all images in posts/pages ??

If you would want to use jQuery Colorbox only, then you have to select “no lightbox” in NGG and set jQuery Colorbox on both for “Automate …for all images in posts..” AND for “Automate … for all other images” (the latter will enable jQuery Colorbox e.g. for NextGEN Galleries).

@photocrati… I did look at the effects included with the plugin 2.014, thickbox did’t work as a lightbox, shutter is not very nice and I don’t want to write a whole css for it, made images way to large and fancy box was the best but not very nice….
Although I had to reinstall the previous version of next gen because the upload of images did’nt work with multi site, i will try the lightbox guys told me about on this forum with the nextgen 2.0xx.

@nspace1999 – Thanks, we appreciate the time you took to test. You mentioned you are using Multisite, did you try our latest beta with the new Multisite code? Most if not all of the upload issues have been addressed. Here is a link: https://www.nextgen-gallery.com/nextgen-gallery-latest-beta/

The Multisite code should show up in our next stable release as well (provided our beta testers do not report any stoppers).
