Hello. I love this plugin (Ad Injection). LOVE IT! Thank you immensely for creating it. Today when I checked the plugin page I noticed that someone had left an alarming review back on Jan. 14, 2015:

My website got totally hacked after one day installed the plugin.

THE PLUGIN HAS A SHELL BACKDOOR WHO GIVE ACCESS TO HACKERS TO ACCESS YOUR FILES AND DATABASE.

MY WEBSITE GOT THE ADMIN AND CONTENT FILES DELETED AND ALSO THE ENTIRE DATABASE.

SO THINK TWICE BEFORE INSTALLING THIS CRAP

Is that a legitimate concern? Has anyone else experienced a security issue as a result of using this plugin?

  • I’m using this plugin for a long time on more than of 50 websites of mine. So far so good and had NO ISSUE at all with this plugin.

It should be a coincidence that one day after installing this plugin, their website got hacked in my opinion.

    Hi,

I’d like to reassure anyone reading this that there are no known security vulnerabilities in this plugin.

I use the plugin on my own sites so would certainly fix any security issue right away if it was found.

It is a coincidence that the reviewer got hacked soon after installing it.

@reviewmylife Thank you! That’s good to know. ??

Shouldn’t reviewmylife (Plugin Author) go to that review and enplane just what was said here.

I too saw that review and since this plugin hasn’t been updated since December 2014 It’s a huge concern… and still is.

No using this one till a little more engagement from the Plugin Author is noticed.
