Is there a way for events to show also in the "site Blog"….? Can't find

can I know what do you mean by site blog ?

Yes, what I mean is I would like for when you create an event, you have access to the Category’s of a site, and so you select what category’s you want, and then events will show in those category’s, such as the sites “Blog”, it’s “Latest News listings, “Recent Posts” etc.

In other words, WordPress “lists” all posts in a recent listing or blog, etc…. I would like events to also be listed. To me it makes sense I don’t know for the life of me why almost ZERO Event plugins have this ability.

After trying about 30, I’ve found one that does (though it seems to have a small bug), and another that does it partially though not really workable. They are “Quick Event Manager” and “Eventify”.

If you could add this ability, unless you have it already, that would be great.

hmm, you might need to add supports to custom post type such as ‘event’ in your theme so it will display events in your blog

Uh, could you explain further?
Because to me I seem to have what is required if I found two plugins that WILL display events in “recent” type postings, such as ones blog, recent widget, etc.

Just to make sure I understand what you want to do… Am I right in thinking you want to add events to the normal categories of your blog, rather than in (in Events Manager’s case) adding them to the standard events categories the plugin creates?

I would like the Events Manager to work like it does, but to have the ability when you create an event it also “posts” as a normal posting update to the actual site itself, such as the blog, shows in the recent posted listing, etc.

Basically, it’s a site update notification.
What “Quick Event Manager” does is display’s the sites Category’s when you create an event, and you can select those category’s also for the Event post to also be displayed in. Should be an easy thing to add.

Thanks for the clarification. That’s not something the plugin does, though it might be possible for you to add with quite a lot of custom coding.
