Is there a way I can set a limit automatically to entries/posts

    Is there a way I can set a limit to entries at a certain word count or line count that automatically adds the “(more…)” option in for me? so that my height is uniform per post? And I don’t have to set it myself for each post that will always run longer than this capped amount?

  • I assume that you are doing this for a theme, and WordPress’s built in function the_excerpt() is automatically set to take the first 55 words and may work for you, depending on how long you want this excerpt to be.
