Is there a way to contact customer support for this?

Please download this update, version 4.2.10, from our repo (https://github.com/reduxframework/redux-framework/archive/refs/heads/master.zip).

Do not rename the zip. It should say redux-framework-master.zip

Upload that ZIP via the Add Plugins in screen. It will install Redux into a separate folder (meaning, you won’t lose the version you are running now, in case it’s a rollback).

Once installed, deactivate your current version of Redux. Then activate the 4.2.10 version. Please check and see if your issue has been resolved. Please report back any errors if they occur. Also, if it works out, also report that.

Hi Kev,

I installed and activated the 4.2.10 version and most of the site (streamingmagazine.nl or streamingmagazine.be) is up again, except the widgets for the sidebar.

In the widgets area I can only use the Gutenberg block editor, although I never chose for this option.

Yeah, we are never going to change from the classic editor. We’ll fully abandon WP before we do that.

Redux wouldn’t have anything to do with widgets. Not all legacy widgets will render with the new block editor version. If you take a look at your error logs and see anythng related to Redux, you can report that back.

I’d try loading up the Classic Widgets plugin and see if that helps.

Hm, do I get it right that these problems have to do with the block shit (aka “Gutenberg”) WordPress is pushing on all of us?

Not the recent issues. Pre-4.2 there was, due to the the new block editor on the widget end. That was fixed.

Outside of Redux, there are some legacy widgets done by theme authors that do not port over well. Personally, I think that’s a design flaw. Time will tell.

Wordpress knows if they force Gutenberg on us, we’re going to flee. Gutenberg might be better for SOME people but not all.

Whether I agree or not, the topic is straying away from Redux, which means the mods could lock it down at any given time.
