    Hello

I noticed you have a long and short form text as an answer option where users can type their answers and even have different versions be accepted eg US and USA and United States.

I was wondering if there is a way to create a question where users have to type a list of text correctly as their answer, for example, write all 10 items on a shopping list correctly. The long and short text now only accepts variations of the same thing eg “US and USA and United States”, what I would like is make the users type something like “Milk, bread, butter, peanut butter” etc.

    Thank you

    Dear @icecreamjelly,

    Thank you for your topic.

We want to make sure we understand your question correctly.
It seems you’re looking for a way to have users input a specific list of items in a precise order.

If that’s the case, a fill-in-the-blank type of question might be more appropriate for your needs.
Please check the following Demo and the YouTube video to see whether the question type meets your requirements or not:

You can check it out to see if it meets your needs.
If it is not the case, please provide us with an example of your desired result so that we can check it out and guide you accordingly.

    Thank you.

    Hello Jasmine,

Thank you for the reply. I will clarify my needs.

I do not need the list to be typed in a specific order so fill in the blank is not required here (in fact it would actually make the user wrong when they are not wrong). It is the combination that is important, not the order. For example, if the user needs to memorise a shopping list, then “milk, butter, bread” is the same as “bread, milk, butter”, no matter which order they type it in. So a question might say:

“List all the food items on the shopping list:” and the user should be able to type any of the following and be marked correctly:

    “bread, milk, butter”

    “bread, butter, milk”

    “milk, bread, butter”

    “milk, butter, bread”

    “butter, bread, milk”

    “butter, milk, bread”.

Additonally I hope that “butter” and “peanut butter” are treated as two different answers so if the full answer is “butter, milk, bread, peanut butter” but the user only types “butter, milk, bread”, the they only get 3/4 instead of 4.

I think this is a not a feature yet, perhaps you can consider it. Thank you for your help.

Thank you for your reply and detailed clarification.

I want to mention that, unfortunately, we don’t have this feature available at the moment.

By the way, thank you for your suggestion.
We appreciate it, as it’s mutually beneficial for both of us.

I will forward your request to our PM team for consideration in future updates, and we will ensure to inform you if any action is taken regarding this in the future.
