Is there a way to get the user “ID” number for the site wide user?

I was trying to use the “Include Mastodon Feed” plugin to display the WordPress ActivityPub feed on another WordPress site. It needs the “user ID” (long number) for the site-wide user.

Their suggested method for finding the ID, via the api, works on a Mastodon site but doesn’t seem to work on a WordPress site w/ ActivityPub, even after I also installed the “Enable Mastodon Apps” plugin.

I’m wondering if the ID could be made available somewhere under the settings.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

The ID of the site-wide user is 0, but I am not sure if this works. The “Include Mastodon Feed” plugin uses the Mastodon API and this plugin only implements ActivityPub.

Even with “Enable Mastodon Apps” enabled, it won’t work, because the endpoint that is used by the plugin is not public and I am not sure if @akirk implemented the blog-wide user in his plugin.

Thanks for the response. I suppose nobody is working on an “Include ActivityPub Feed” plugin?

Just for grins: I tried accountID 0 and it says “missing configuration”, so I guess it’s interpreting “0” == “not set”

    [include-mastodon-feed] missing configuration: account id

It is still a WordPress blog, why not try something like ?Include RSS Feed“ or ?Include WordPress Blog“?

I think it is, because ?Enable Mastodon Apps“ does not allow to access this endpoint without Authentication.
