Offline donations are included in the total once they have been completed. You just need to ensure you have it set as complete once you actually receive the offline donation (check it the mail or whatever method of collection you have).

Please let me know if you have anymore questions!

Right, but people are actually handing us checks at our church during the Sunday service without ever going online to our fundraiser page. How do we include those donations?

    Thank you!

I think what we need is some Offline Donation gateway documentation to help you understand how it works better. I’ll draft one up on our documentation site here: https://givewp.com/documentation/ and update you when that’s there.

    Hi there,

We’ve updated our Documentation with regard to Payment Gateways. Still working on the “Test Donations” Gateway, but Offline and PayPal are available now:

    https://givewp.com/documentation/core/payment-gateways/

Review that and let us know if you have further questions. Thanks!

I’ve noticed that when I mark the donation as completed inside the “view donation details” page it doesn’t show up on the form, but if I do bulk action “set to complete” on the transaction page it works…

    Hi @church44

What do you mean by “it doesn’t show up on the form”? Which form? Do you mean in the list of Transactions? Please clarify. Thanks!

Sorry, my mistake, it’s not in the form directly, but in the Transactions page. So if I create a new form and then receive a new “offline donation”, navigate to the transactions page, click “view donation details”, then change the status under “update payment” to complete, it doesn’t automatically apply the payment to the form in the all forms section.

But, if I get a new donation, go to the transactions page, tick the box for the donation and use bulk actions to “set to completed” then it will automatically add the funds to the form in the All Forms section.

Hmmm… just tested that locally and couldn’t reproduce that at all. We are about to release version 1.4 and that’s what I was testing locally, so maybe that version fixes it.

That should be out very soon. Please update when it’s out and let me know if it resolved the issue for you. Thanks!
