I’m using this plugin on a site translated in English and French using WPML. The form translates fine, however the body of the petition email is in English only and I do not see an option to add a second language.

Also the custom text for the email subscription and Twitter message option do not translate.

Is this possible, or do I have to put both languages in these fields?

Good question, but it isn’t possible for the plugin to translate this.

The plugin phrases are translated and added to the (language).po file which is then compile into the (language).mo file. This is what is read to do the translation based on the language you have selected in wordpress.

Because the petition content is create by you, I can’t translate that in advance. I am a little surprised that WPML doesn’t handle it, is the rest of your site automatically translated?

Same thing for the custom text you mention (and any custom text). In those cases you need to manually add the text in whatever language you prefer.

Actually it turns out that WPML does handle this in the string translation. I just missed it the first time around.

    Thanks for your reply though!
