Is there a way to use a SVG file as logo

I can’t figure out a way to get my logo to look sharp. I’ve created it in inkscape as a scalable vector. I’ve saved it in various formats, but other than creating a large file (which is time consuming to upload and isn’t good for websites.) I get a pixelated logo.

Any tips? Pretty much everything I’ve read is to use an SVG file instead of a .png. I’ve downloaded SVG plugins to enable me to upload the file, but I when I try to use the file as my logo (under Customize) it shows up blank.
