Is there an easy way to edit templates?

  • hey guys,
    So I’ve got my blog up, but it doesn’t look like I want it to.

    I’ve found a couple of templates that would look nice, but I want them to fit in with the rest of my site.

    I’m not after anything complicated, all I want is my header and buttons up the top and a neat layout below.

    Is doing this just a matter of editing the CSS file? I don’t know much about CSS but I’ll have a go at it if it’s the only way.

  • Sounds like you’d want to build your own theme. Easily done, especially if you’re starting with a theme that’s close to what you want. Check out the Theme_Development page over in the codex for starters. Also see the “references” section on that page.
