• Hi,

since we created the community on our website based on the UM plugin, we noticed that many users (like 20%) subscribe but never confirm.
We checked the mailgun logs and its to be excluded that all those emails are bounced (these are a small %, like 0,3%) and also that it went in the SPAM folder because as we sent a bulk re-invitation to 1500 users, around 600 confirmed and were able to login.

So i had the suspicion that they had subscribed, then waited too long and the activation link did not work anymore.

Sometimes we also have people contacting us saying they cant activate the account, then we re-send the invitation and they can.

Is there any expiration to the activation link?

If so, how can we extend it?

    Thanks,

    Gabo

    Hi @ihaveguts,

Yes, the activation link will expire if not clicked.
It is possible to resend activation email in Users section and under the “UM Actions” dropdown.

    Regards.

    Hi @ultimatemembersupport

thanks for the reply, can this behaviour be changed or overridden in the settings?
And how long is the default expiration time?

    Thanks!

    Any update on this issue?

I checked the whole code and there seem to be no expiration logic in the hash: are you sure it really expires? And if so, could you should how?
