  • Hi there, thanks for reaching out!

The way the Leadin form capture tool works, it identifies a form and captures the submission as soon as a submit button is clicked and there is an email address field present. Since the email address field is present on the first portion of the form, this is the one that Leadin will capture due to how it is built.

In the past, the only multi-step forms that we have identified Leadin to be compatible with are Gravity Forms multi-step, when the email address field is on the last step. I’m afraid beyond this it is unlikely that Leadin will be able to capture the submission due to how the form is built.

I hope this helps, if there is anything I can clarify please let me know.

    Hi Shay,

Thanks for the response. If I could manage to pass the email from the first step into hidden fields on the subsequent steps, you’re saying that could possibly make it work?

This is indeed how it is achieved with Gravity Forms multi-step so it’s possible that this will work for your custom form too. While it’s worth testing to be sure, I can’t guarantee that it will work. If there is anything I can help with though definitely let me know. Feel free to reach out at support (at) leadin (dot) com if you’d like to send over any examples or links.

    Thanks,
    Shay
