Is there ANYBODY of the WooCommerce team …TAKING THIS SERIOUSLY? LORD!

I have seen many many many support threads on NUMEROUS websites, forums and also here…about the same thing…some even 4 years old! And this one is already 6 months old and still very much actively responded to by others like me that are facing this “lost password”-mess. With soooo many updates going on, one must expect that such an OLD and EVERLASTING error must be solved by now? It also very frightening that on each of these support threads…never is being answered by anyone from woocommerce?

    https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/reset-password-email-for-woocommerce-customers-is-not-working/page/2/#post-11177790

PLEASE FIX THIS. I have websites where client’s can’t get a new password sent to them since it isn’t being sent to them. And no: IT IS NOT A SERVER OR HOSTING ERROR.

    Come on guys!

    Hi,

This is a caching issue — specifically, the my-account page needs to be excluded from being cached. Please contact your host and have them exclude that and then come back and let us know if that helps.

    See: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/configuring-caching-plugins/#section-6

    Cheers!

As stated in the linked thread, if a recaptcha is in use this can also cause the problem.

But why Automatic cannot make a reliable recaptcha that works with Woo ? isn’t it something ESSENTIAL ? Thank you.

    Caching: disabled
rECaptcha for lost password form: disabled

    Working now: no.

It is a fault inside woocommerce.

Client isn’t getting an email with password reset.

All other kind of emails are sent out 100%. So this is definitely a bug. Must be, right?

    @servicehh

Given the zillions of WC installs out there and the small number of rest password thread, the likelihood is that we are looking for something specific to your site.

Please post a link to your site.

Also: https://mydomain.nl/my-account.php doesn’t exist, when trying to visit this url it shows a 404 not found.

So I tried my actual url instead: https://mydomain.nl/mijn-account/

Disabled cache for that url in cloudflare and in Vipercache plugin I have disabled all of the woocommerce pages.

So I also disabled all of the captcha plugins and that did not help as well.

So what else can I do?

I wouldn’t expect https://mydomain.nl/my-account.php to work. As you have found, there is no such file.

If you would like to share your site address it may be possible to get a clue from the site.

    Hi Lorro, Thank you.

    https://tanita.nl/mijn-account/

Sorry, I am unable to find fault, although I am unable to fully test without an account. However your site does seem to have various levels of caching. There is cloudflare and something in the page called igcache. Sometimes themes do caching as well. I hear that you have deactivated caching for the my-account page but its possible that its being cached anyway. I think the debug approach would be to disable all caching, deactivate all plugins and switch to the default theme. It should work now, then reactivate software elements one by one and check.

Hi, thanks. I can’t however just disable everything in a live webshop. That is impossible. Everything is working 100% except the lost password.

I think I’ll open a support ticket with them, if that is possible,
Thanks for looking at it for me, Lorro.

    Kind regards
