I have left several questions about problems I’m having with WP and unfortunately don’t get the answers I am looking for – it might be your browser, you need toupgrade, its your host (which installed WP itself using Fantastico) or you have installed it incorrectly (see previous).
It works fine for everyone else !!, I’ve been told this several times now, clearly looking at the forum there are ALOT of issues with WP.

Ok so if its that great why would you need to upgrade, unless there are things wrong/bugs/security issues with the current version.

Is there not an official customer service area, not FAQ but actual people answering the ACTUAL question ?

  • Im going to start at the top of your post and work down, ok?

I have left several questions about problems I’m having with WP and unfortunately don’t get the answers I am looking for..

Unfortunately, we dont always get the answers we want. We do get answers though. See the difference?

I looked through all what, 4 or so of your previous posts to this one, and all had answers, of some kind. Were they what you wanted? Prolly not. Im guessing you wanted immediate solutions?

Ok so if its that great why would you need to upgrade, unless there are things wrong/bugs/security issues with the current version.

Is that a rhetorical question, written out of frustration, or do you really need someone to answer that? (Also??)

It would seem to me you asked and answered your own question. You upgrade for all of those reasons, obviously. What on earth does have to do with WP being great, and why insist on using a subjective term inside a moot argument?

Is there not an official customer service area, not FAQ but actual people answering the ACTUAL question ?

WordPress is free. The support here is offered for free by volunteers. Last time I paid any attention everyone here was an actual person.

Here’s the real deal — sometimes the answers we want are not the answers we get. You have yet to indicate where this hosting is for this blog.. I dont think I saw a browser mentioned by you. I can tell you that I have successfully installed WP on atleast a dozen recognizable hosts and not had a single issue.

Does that mean that you have done something wrong? No. But it might suggest that something is very different in your particular situation.

Ha ! You could ask me ‘whats the landspeed of a chicken ?’ if I was to answer ‘ carrot ‘ that would indeed be a ‘reply, but not an answer – See the difference !!

I needed to set up a quick and easy CMs and many people had recommended WP. It comes as standard on the Fantastico for my host – https://www.webhosting.uk.com.
I have used fantastico on this host before to setup Joomla, which works prefectly well.

To get an answer well its either you hosting, your installation, your computer or your browser, surely you can see thats not particularly helpful. I pressumed its probably just one of those bugs in the system and there would be a relatively simple explanation.

I do appologise for coming across frustrated, but that because I am/was, I realise its not your fault, but some constructive answers doesn’t seem to much to ask.

If you guys don’t know the answer ‘no problem’ but just to say its one of a list of vage things is just not that helpful.

I have found that it I delete directly from the ‘edit this page’ link the page will delete, but obviously I should just be able to delete from the ‘page manager’.

But its the fact that I can’t add any pictures or links content is worrying.

As I’ve said WP is offered as standard on the host, it installed it itself self, I have tried it in FF and IE, and I have the most upto date upgrades that WP offer.

Any further ideas whould be appreciated.

To be honest I thought you were a support facility as is offered via many forums on software websites etc, I didn’t obviously realise that its a voluntary thing.

Actually I was going to ask again why isn’t there a customer service type area, but clearly because they get you guys for free.
