Is There Really No Usable Gallery Plug-In?

  • I thought this was gonna be simple, but as it turns out, it’s a real challenge. I wanted to add a SEO friendly gallery plug in to my wordpress, but they just don’t seem to exist. I’ve spent weeks and after weeks searching yet no positive find. What am I missing? Is there really no usable gallery plug in for WP?

    Basically, I’m looking for a gallery plug in for WordPress that would be purely PHP based (not flash or ajax), so that each picture is on it’s own, search engine friendly URL with comment form at the bottom so surfers can add comments on individual images. It should have some easy navigation so surfers can easily move form one pic to another and also to come back to the gallery index page.

    I though something this fundamental would exist. I’m just being proven wrong over and over. If you’re smarter than me, please do point me at the right direction. Where can I find a PHP based gallery plug in that’s simple and doesn’t suck?
