    Hi

I’ve got a client site who has the Free Memberships Pro plugin installed.

Could you confirm the current version is 2.12.8 please?

Is there some documentation that we can follow for membership area please?

I’ve got to do some changes and ensure that ONLY Members can see certain videos/files and certain pages when they login. They have to have Membership BEFORE they can gain access to the Membership area.

ALSO HOW can we CHANGE the Login page to make it look bit more professional (very generic) ? Currently it is domainname.com.au/login page which uses your shortcode [pmpro_login] rather that just the standard Username & Password?

I assume we can ADD a background image to that page ?

Also since I installed your plugin a while ago, when I login to the backend domainname.com.au/wp-admin, it redirects to the SAME screen that the Registered Memberships Customer logins into RATHER than the wp-admin area for some reason.

That is a pain and its done that since I installed the plugin over 6 months ago. I have just let it go for now, but would PREFER to have the wp-admin login for ADMINS to work as it should and as your plugin seems to bypass that option I am NOT sure what to do here? The client is wanting to login on Monday, but I DON’T want them to see that when they try to login to domainname.com.au/wp-admin that it REDIRECTS to domainname.com.au/login page which is a pain.

If you could help and advise with this would be greatly appreciated.

I am NOT sure WHY this happens when admin are trying to login to wp-admin ?

    Thanks

Is there a quick and EASY way to see current Members who are registered? I cannot seem to find a set Members area in your plugin? But if I had some documentation that will help me.

Hi there, thank you for reaching out to Paid Memberships Pro.

This is the latest version. Our next major release, 3.0 is expected to launch in a couple of weeks.

Is there some documentation that we can follow for membership area please?

This can be found user Memberships > Members. More information on this can be found at https://www.paidmembershipspro.com/documentation/admin/members-list/

I’ve got to do some changes and ensure that ONLY Members can see certain videos/files and certain pages when they login. They have to have Membership BEFORE they can gain access to the Membership area.

This is standard behavior in PMPro. If you assign a membership level to the post content you want protected, anyone that doesn’t hold the required membership level will not be able to access the content.

ALSO HOW can we CHANGE the Login page to make it look bit more professional (very generic) ? Currently it is domainname.com.au/login page which uses your shortcode [pmpro_login] rather that just the standard Username & Password?

We make use of the default WP login page in our shortcode. You should be able to edit the login page with a page builder, enter the shortcode into your page builder and style the element to make it centered – this may have limitations and can require custom development to the form depending on your requirements.

I assume we can ADD a background image to that page ?

This can be done with custom CSS or a page builder depending on your setup.

Also since I installed your plugin a while ago, when I login to the backend domainname.com.au/wp-admin, it redirects to the SAME screen that the Registered Memberships Customer logins into RATHER than the wp-admin area for some reason.

All logins are redirected to the /login page as there isn’t a way for us to know if an admin is going to login before they actually do so.

The best would be to navigate to Memberships > Settings > Pages and set the default login page to ‘Use Default WP Login page’ instead. That way there isn’t a redirect from wp-admin to login however this can result in unexpected behavior on the /login page.

Because there have not been any recent updates to this topic, we will be changing the status to resolved.

    Hi

Could you elaborate more on one of your points please?

You mentioned: The best would be to navigate to Memberships > Settings > Pages and set the default login page to ‘Use Default WP Login page’ instead. That way there isn’t a redirect from wp-admin to login however this can result in unexpected behavior on the /login page.

What unexpected behaviour would you be referring to please?

    Thanks
